Water on board, where can I fill my water tanks and how much do I need?

Water tanks, both fixed and flexible, can be found and filled at most marinas. The costs are usually included in the docking fee.
One person usually needs 150 liters (40 gallons) of fresh water for 7 days at sea. This includes washing, showering, cooking and the use of the toilet.
Multiply this by the amount of people on board, don’t forget to take into account the amount of water your tank can carry.
Depending on the size of the boat fixed water tanks can carry between 30 and 700 liters (8 to 180 gallons) of water.
